Damaris Monzon-Aguirre, APRN, MSN, FNP-C   

Damaris Monzon-Aguirre is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric neurological disorders within the Division of Neurology, part of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Brain Institute. She earned a bachelor’s degree in science of nursing in 2007 at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. After obtaining her nursing degree, Ms. Monzon-Aguirre provided care for more than seven years in an inpatient pediatric neurology and neurosurgery unit at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. In 2014 she completed a master’s degree in science of nursing at Barry University. While obtaining her master’s degree, Ms. Monzon-Aguirre worked as a research assistant on projects related to the improvement of undergraduate nursing education and is passionate about providing education and resources to students, patients and families alike. Her clinical interests include developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).  

Ms. Monzon-Aguirre is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multi-specialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
